On 4 June 2025, a re-consecration of the burial place of Philip Anthony Neville Cox took place. Cox died on 27 June 1940 during a flight to Dover. His body washed ashore in Westerschouwen. During the transfer of the remains to his final burial place in Bergen op Zoom, Cox’s details were lost. He was therefore classified as an unknown English officer and buried as an unknown soldier at the War Cemetery Bergen op Zoom, grave 14 C 12.
After 85 years it was established that this was Flying Officer Cox and a service was held at the cemetery in memory of this fallen soldier.
