251024 | Film with unique war images at the Heemkundekring De Steenen Kamer

Robert Catsburg, author of several books on the liberation, has unearthed a historical film with unique war footage from (presumably) early 1945.

The film follows part of the Algonquin Regiment’s journey during the liberation of West Brabant. It also features several temporary graves of soldiers who have been laid to rest at the Canadian Cemetery, including those of Privates Ingraham, Johnson, Reeves, and Theriault.

Omroep Brabant wrote an article about this and Omroep Zeeland also pays attention to it.

The film (without sound) can be seen on the website of the Heemkundekring De Steenen Kamer.
